Technically, Roux is the business and myself. Roux is a family nickname and, as an artist enamored with Parisian Haute Couture, utilizing this French word in naming the atelier just felt right.
Being taught to thread a needle is one of my earliest memories, but I was formally educated as a studio artist. It is this training and lens that now shapes how I work as a seamstress – along with a lifelong love of grand gowns and costuming. And while I relish beauty and design, I will always be devoted to careful craft and construction that allows you to feel effortlessly beautiful.
